Product Description
Indoor LED Grow Light 28W 50W Supplement UV IR For Cannabis Professional
Future of LED Grow Lights
Myth busting: Wattage
The biggest myth with grow lights is the advertised wattage. A 3W LED is rarely 3W. It is just vernacular in the industry, to refer to any LED that has a maximum rated current of about 700mA.
According to the formula, Power = Voltage * Amperage. A red LED has a typical voltage of 2.6V, so a safely driven LED, at 600mA will result in a wattage of 1.56W. Meanwhile, a blue or white LED has a typical voltage of 3.6V, and thus a wattage of 2.16W.
So when a grow light advertises itself as 120W, check that it is 120 actual watts. Typically, the seller will just multiply the number of LEDs by 3W, resulting in a value much higher than the actual power being used.
Application
Including ultraviolet (UV) as well as infrared (IR) and far-red waves. These wavelengths don’t factor significantly into photosynthetic rates, but they do affect plants, and in some very interesting ways. It’s important to note that UV and IR lights should generally be operated independently from primary lights, and run for short intervals in your garden.

Q&A
What Are The Benefits Of Switching To LED Grow Lighting?
LEDs are currently at the forefront of indoor horticulture and vertical farming. Growers now have the ability to digitally control their light spectrum to create the optimal environment for maximizing harvests.
- LEDs use significantly less energy
- LEDs emit little to no heat reducing cooling costs
- LEDs last 6 to 10 times as long as HID or HPS equivalents
